How do I apply for a listing?
The UniSQ Accommodation Listings platform is not a rental application service. To apply for a listing, please contact the accommodation provider using the details provided.
How do I find listings?
You’re able to search for both individual rooms within properties as well as whole properties to rent. Click on the Rooms or Properties tab to view a map of all properties around your selected campus. You’re also able to narrow-down the results by clicking ‘Refine search’, which provides several additional search criteria to enhance your property search.
How do I create a Flatmate profile?
The Flatmates feature allow you to find other like-minded students looking for shared accommodation. To use this feature, you must create a Flatmates profile. You have the option to include as much or as little information about yourself as you feel comfortable with.
This can include information such as:
What you’re studying
What your gender and age is
Whether you have pets or children
What your budget is
Any extra information about yourself that you wish to share.
How long will it take to hear when I apply?
The UniSQ Accommodation Listings platform is not a rental application service. Due to this, application wait times will vary between different accommodation providers.
Can I apply for more than one listing at once?
The UniSQ Accommodation Listings platform is not a rental application service. You are able to contact multiple accommodation providers. Please contact them directly regarding their listings.
Can I lease a property or room from a current UniSQ employee?
Current UniSQ employees are not permitted to list a property, including a rental property or a room in a property, on UniSQ Accommodation Listings. An accommodation advertisement application submitted by a current UniSQ employee will not be accepted. If UniSQ determines that a live accommodation listing on UniSQ Accommodation Listings has been made by a current UniSQ employee, the listing will be removed.
Providers
Are there expiration times for listings?
Listings have a one-month expiry by default. Before a listing expires, an automated email is sent that provides the option to renew the listing for another month.
How many housing options can I list at once?
There is no limit on the number of housing options that each accommodation provider can list. All listings are subject to approval before being published on this platform.
How do I list properties or rooms?
To add a listing, click the 'profile picture' icon located on the top right-hand corner of the page and then select ‘Add a listing’. Fill in the details required and then submit the listing for approval. Your listing will then be reviewed by our team and once approved will be visible to students.
How do I create an effective listing?
When creating your listing, it is recommended to provide as much details as possible in the description. This could include if carparking is available, how long the space will be available, what is included in the rental price and all amenities.
If you’ve indicated ‘partly furnished’, please specify what that means (e.g. has a bed frame and mattress provided, though you will need to provide a desk, office chair, etc.).
It is also recommended that you upload at least 5 – 8 photos (e.g. front of house, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, laundry, living space).
How do I create a profile on UniSQ Accommodation Listings?
In order to register as an Accommodation Provider, click ‘Register’ under the Accommodation Provider section and fill in the requested details. You will be required to verify your mobile phone number as part of this process.
I am a current UniSQ employee, can I list a property or room on UniSQ Accommodation Listings?
Current UniSQ employees are not permitted to list a property, including a rental property or a room in a property, on UniSQ Accommodation Listings. An accommodation advertisement application submitted by a current UniSQ employee will not be accepted. If UniSQ determines that a live accommodation listing on UniSQ Accommodation Listings has been made by a current UniSQ employee, the listing will be removed.
